Eco Squared Pty Ltd (“Eco Squared”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information responsibly in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect your information when you engage with us, including via our website and the SMART QUOTE service.
1. What personal information we collect
Depending on your interaction with us, we may collect:
Identity & contact: name, email address, phone number, postal or site address, suburb.
Project details: room type, preferences, rough measurements, notes you provide.
SMART QUOTE media: videos and images you send via Text or WhatsApp (including associated metadata).
Transactional & communications: enquiries, quotes, order history, feedback, review content.
Business details (if applicable): company name, role, ABN.
Technical/online: IP address, device and browser details, pages viewed, referral source, cookie identifiers, and similar online activity data.
Any other information you choose to provide via forms, calls, text messages, or emails.
2. How we collect personal information
We collect information through:
Direct interactions: website forms, emails, phone calls, Text/WhatsApp (including SMART QUOTE), in-person visits.
Automated means: cookies, pixels, tags, and web server logs when you use our website.
Third-party sources: where permitted by law (e.g., marketing platforms, analytics providers, publicly available sources) or where you have directed a third party to share information with us.
3. Why we collect and use your personal information
We use your information to:
Provide and improve our services: assess videos for SMART QUOTE, prepare itemised estimates, design documentation, installation and after-care.
Operate and enhance our website and communications, including troubleshooting, analytics and optimisation.
Respond to enquiries and provide support.
Send service and marketing communications (where consented or otherwise permitted), including updates, offers and articles. You can opt out of marketing at any time.
Comply with legal and regulatory obligations, manage risk, prevent fraud and enforce our terms.
4. Disclosure of personal information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may disclose it to:
Service providers who help us operate (e.g., website hosting, IT, cloud storage, analytics, communications/SMS/WhatsApp, customer support tools, payment and accounting systems).

Some service providers that store or process data for us may be located outside Australia (for example, in the USA, EU, UK or Asia). In particular, when using Text/WhatsApp or other cloud services, your information may be processed on servers overseas. Where we disclose information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure recipients protect it in line with the APPs.

We use cookies and similar technologies to:
keep our site secure and functioning (strictly necessary cookies);
understand site usage (analytics); and
improve content and advertising relevance (where enabled).

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. SMART QUOTE videos are retained for quoting and (if you proceed) project planning; if you do not proceed, you may request deletion and we will action this where permissible.

You have the right to request access to personal information we hold about you and to request correction if it is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. We will respond within a reasonable time and, where we refuse (for example, for legal reasons), we will tell you why and how to complain.
11. Notifiable data breaches
If an eligible data breach occurs (likely to result in serious harm), we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under the Privacy Act.
12. Children
Our services are intended for adult homeowners. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate steps.
13. Third-party sites and services
Our website may link to third-party sites or services (including messaging platforms). We are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on our website with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
